Follow the Flow
THE Twitter

Having in mind that companies like Google, Facebook, and even Apple are trying to buy Twitter (a service that does not earn money) really makes me wonder, what makes tens of millions of people use it?

Twitter in 3 lines

The best thing about Twitter is the limitation.  If you have only 140 characters to say something,  you basically cut off all the unnecessary stuff.
As Flickr is a universal platform for importing and exporting photos,  Twitter is the same, but for thoughts.

At First

When you join Twitter you might see a lot of nonsense and personal things, which at first could be quite repulsing.

But, as correctly noted by Jason Cats in upholding essay about Twitter – “You hear such things in the streets around town, so you shouldn’t be surprised at all”

Interface

The good news is that Twitter is an open platform (you can transfer the API) And does not limit you to the official login and interface page.

For a long time I wondered why their website is so simple, but on the other hand – slow. Then I installed TweetDeck (requires Adobe Air – the new Flash), TwitterFon and TwitterBar and since then I have not seen what twitter.com looks like.

The Communication

In the beginning its a little bit like having a Skype with no people inside.  But as you add more people, it becomes interesting.
